T.K. Kraemer – From cool, soothing new-age style ambiance, to more energetic Baroque melodies for sun salutations, to modal rhythmic passages during active pose sequences, the addition of live music adds a higher-level experience for participants of any class. Thomas K. Kraemer, graduate of SUNY’s School of Music (1994), has been studying and performing Classical guitar styles and electronic music composition for over 30 years. The idea to combine those aspects of music into a structured yoga class came to fruition in 2013 as yoga teacher Marta Fiscus of Cumberland, Maryland, (also a Classical pianist) welcomed an experimental class. The participants loved it, and since then, T.K. has performed to back dozens of professional yoga instructors through scheduled classes across the Mid-Atlantic states: everything from special events and festivals, to the more unusual, including out- door, fireside, and even waterfront venues! The YLMX professional sound system is mixed in stereo, and can handle both indoor and outdoor events. The instructor can be equipped with a wireless microphone so they’re be free to encourage and spot patrons. Since T.K. is a practicing yogi himself, he is able to custom-tailor the music to match the particular flow and energy of the class based on the instructor’s lead.
